A heart attack caused the death of Stanislav Landgraf in December 2006. It is worth noting that his character, a critic of brussky, in the novel passionately wanted to kill a shot in the heart of Margarita.

It is noteworthy that it was on this day that Yevgeny Merkuryev (the accountant in the series) tragically died while fishing. By an absurd accident, he fell through the ice.
Was there a curse on Roman?

Mystery or coincidence?
In total, the production team of the series “Master and Margarita” included more than 150 people. Many actors died as a result of objective, at first glance, reasons: serious diseases, old age, tragic accident.
However, it is worth remembering that the famous Oleg Yankovsky, who was offered the role of Voland, categorically refused to shoot, believing that under no circumstances can you play two roles: the Lord God and the devil.
And Director Vladimir Bortko noted just positive mysticism during filming. The group was never let down by the weather and it was always Sunny on location if you needed clear weather and, on the contrary, if you need to shoot on a cloudy day, the sky was covered with heavy clouds in the morning.
It was also surprising that all the actors magically managed to recover before the start of filming with their participation, so all the work went exactly on schedule.
Perhaps, after all, it is not necessary to accuse the great work of a curse. Although creative people are very superstitious and often forget the phrase that Mikhail Bulgakov put into the mouth of Voland: “Yes, man is mortal, but that would be half the trouble. The bad thing is that he is sometimes suddenly mortal, that’s the trick!»
