No luck, neither in death nor in love: is it really over Isadora Duncan hangs a family curse?

The name of Isadora Duncan is well known in Russia. The talented dancer went down in the history of world art as a bold experimenter. However, the Grand success did not bring Isadora : despite the fact that thousands of fans dreamed of her, she did not manage to live a happy family life. The dancer was haunted by tragedies and disappointments, there is a version that the grief overtook her because of a family curse…
Whether or not to believe in the existence of the supernatural is a personal matter. In numerous biographies of Isadora Duncan, you can find mention of an interesting fact. As a teenager, the girl dreamed of a brilliant artistic career and one day went to a fortune teller to find out what was destined for her. The seer promised that she will be able to achieve her goals, and the result will exceed all expectations. However, in her opinion, Isadora was disappointed in love. The reason for this was the family curse, which was supposed to doom Isadora to loneliness and take away all her dear people.

Professionally, Isadora Duncan really achieved a lot: she gained world fame, her performance of dances was treated differently (scolding and approving of a special erotic manner), she had students, and for many she was an idol. It was not easy to find happiness among thousands of fans, and the girl was burned more than once.
Isadora had to go through a lot in love: an affair with the Polish artist Ivan Mirocki ended in betrayal (the man was married, but hid this fact); the relationship with the actor Oscar Berezhi was destroyed because of his career (the initiator of the breakup was Oscar, he left Isadora for filming in Spain).

Isadora Duncan had children, but their fathers – Director Gordon Craig and entrepreneur Patrice singer – did not get married either. The only one who became the official husband of the genius dancer is the Russian poet Sergei Yesenin.
However, it wasn’t just men who took Isadora’s life. Much more terrible was the loss of children. If men simply left her life, then her son and daughter died in a terrible accident. After burying them, Isadora Duncan barely returned to normal life, and had to plunge into work to distract herself from the constant heartbreaking thoughts. She even made an attempt to give birth to another child, but it lived a few days and died: fate finally deprived Isadora of hope for a happy motherhood.

Meeting with Sergei Yesenin, it seemed, should have brought happiness, but instead their family had constant quarrels, scandals, both from time to time experienced creative crises. Their story ended tragically – the poet committed suicide, and Isadora bitterly mourned his passing. However, she was not destined to survive a truly loved man for long. Two years later, Isadora Duncan was to die. The end of her scarlet scarf was wrapped around the wheel of the car in which she went for a walk in nice, and the dancer died from a broken neck.

The terrifying prophecy of the fortune-teller came true: having received world fame, Isadora could not find personal happiness, she really lost everyone who was dear to her. Even a stormy affair with Sergei Yesenin ended in a tragic ending.
