Creepy illustrations that cause ambiguous feelings

The works of this Illustrator evoke mixed emotions – the viewer feels both emotion and anxiety. Created by the artist, cute and strange creatures that walk in the company of people in a mysterious forest are several times taller than the average person and look very unusual

The Argentine artist, who is hiding under the spectacular pseudonym K2man, has been creating amazing illustrations with images of incredible creatures for several years. In some of the most interesting works, the mystical characters invented by K2man interact freely with ordinary people.

On her website, the artist posted a detailed description of the world of magical creatures, which complements her extensive collection of illustrations and sketches. This is a mystical and incredible reality, inhabited by creatures of an unusual kind, who, despite their rather infernal appearance, are able to find a common language with people.
Interestingly, the people in The k2man paintings look quite tiny in comparison with the creatures from the fantasy world. However, this does not seem to prevent them from communicating with each other, posing for a cute photo, hugging and even dancing.

The artist is often asked where she comes from. Being a mysterious and secretive nature, she responds as follows: “I Think it’s hard to tell where you are from – we all come from somewhere and go somewhere. The same thing happens with the characters in my paintings – they come from their own world, an amazing reality inhabited mainly by animals: monkeys, rabbits, deer, cats and foxes. These creatures are fully aware of who they are, they feel alive.”
Another artist, Russian Anatoly Sokolov, is interested in quite earthly landscapes. However, summoning all his skills, he delivers them so that the viewer sees a completely alien reality, not devoid of beauty and charm. Winter nature in Sokolov’s photographs is the embodiment of true harmony, which is not compared to any painting, music, or poetry.
