In 1980, the international organization of ufologists ICUFON published a Memorandum justifying the need to create a world Agency for space Affairs to perform the following tasks: to carry out international control and monitoring of UFO activities around the world; to find ways to establish contacts with the forces directing the activities of UFOs; to prevent any hostile actions against UFOs by the armed forces of the Agency’s member countries; to use the discoveries resulting from contacts with UFOs to accelerate progress and improve life in all countries.
